I made this last week because I had some leftover steak that I needed to repurpose. I used sriracha in place of the curry powder. I would just add, beware the spice. I like spicy things so I added a liberal splash, but it was HOT. So hot that I really had trouble eating the whole salad. Other than that little SNAFU, this is a very delicious salad.
Made this last week, it was phenomenal! Next time I'll throw in some sliced mango, the extra color and flavor would've added something special. Definitely no complaints though, loved it!
I love salads of all kinds, so it is no surprise that I loved this one and finished it off at one sitting. It was a surprise, however, that E. liked it enough to clean his plate completely! AND said he would eat it again! The blend of flavors with the greens combined with the gingery-soy dressing was superb. Next time I make it, I will used chicken instead of beef or pork ... just because i like chicken better. Other than that, it was perfect.
I've made this salad before and it was fantastic. Now that I'm trying not to eat beef, and I've already posted something similar on my blog (http://edibleventures.blogspot.com/2009/01/thai-beef-salad-with-mango.html), I'll be sitting this one out.
I wanted to marinate my steak yesterday and found out it had gone bad.... Now I have to buy new steak today!

ReplyDeleteThis was one terrific salad. The flavors came together perfectly. Ted didn't talk to me througout the entire dinner. His mouth was constantly full.
