Tell All - Thanksgiving Special

Hey All,

I want to hear what everyone has made or is making this week.

I have been considering some side dishes and desserts from the new book - maybe maple squash puree or creamed spinach OR apple brown betty or pumpkin rice pudding.

Tell All - Peach French Toast Bake

Well I am excited for this one. I have made it several times and posted about on our blog - here.

Some notes:

- I would definitely advise flavoring your egg mixture with some combo of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, etc. You may find the recipe a bit bland as written.

- I usually halve the recipe in an 8x8 pan, so I am not sure if that makes a difference or not, but I almost always have to bake mine for more like 50-60 minutes.

- I think any fresh or frozen fruit will work in this recipe, so use what you have or like.

- One yummy sound change I read on the Food Network reviews is to use cinnamon or cinnamon raisin bread.

A Craving Ellie in My Belly Thanksgiving

Hi All,

I was thinking that this year for our Thanksgiving week recipe pick we could all choose our own recipe to make and post about. This will give everyone some flexibility with the holiday and still be able to participate. I also thought it would be a fun challenge to try to incorporate your Ellie recipe pick into your Thanksgiving meal if possible. I think all of us could use a healthy option at our gluttonous TG table.

For those of you who don't live in the US or don't celebrate TG, it's free play for you too of course.

Also, let's extend the posting deadline to Friday the 27th that week so we don't have to worry about posting and blogging on TG if we don't want to.

Tell All - Linguini with Shrimp & Vegetables

How is this going for everyone?

I have made this recipe, or something similar, many times. I usually add a few anchovies and some thyme, I may add some capers this time too.
