Hilarious! I made this on Sunday before I knew this blog existed. This is my all time favorite chili. Sometimes I throw it all in a crock pot (after browning the beef) and let it stew all day.
Also, here's another tip-those chipotle peppers in adobo sauce seem like a waste when you have to buy a whole can to just use one pepper and 2 teaspoons of sauce. I have an ice cube tray with a lid that I was supposed to have used for baby food and never did. So once I cut up the pepper, I put a pepper and some sauce in each ice cube holder and then freeze them. She uses these chilis in a lot of her recipes so then I just need to thaw one out the next time I need one. A can of peppers lasts a few months. Slight money-saver.
Loved it!! Had to make it without chipotle chilis as they are not available here....
ReplyDeleteIt was different and delicious from most chilis I have ever made. And that is a GOOD difference.
ReplyDeleteSorry to skip this week... I can't stand beans, and didn't think this recipe would fly too well without them. See you all next week!
