I'm leaving town on Wednesday morning and probably wont have time to make this beforehand. It sounds good though, so I will have to play recipe catch up next week.
I have made this before and its wonderful, although I did not try the dressing part, and may not again...we used a no calorie - no fat blue cheese instead
I am not a fan of egg, tomatoes, or blue cheese so I'm not sure how closely my recipe will resemble the original, but I am going to try to come up with something :)
We had it tonight when I had friends and their kids over for dinner. I put everything in a separate bowl with a serving spoon so that everyone could top their own salad with what they wanted. It was a big hit. The adults liked it with everything and the dressing was a great compliment to the blue cheese and everything. Definitely a great dish.
I'm making this for dinner tonight! I've missed participating with you guys but it's the middle of the Arizona summer and 115 degrees makes it hard to keep the house cool, even without the extra oven heat. I'll have to try those onion rings in October:)
I'm afraid it's too oppressively hot here to step into the kitchen this week, even to make a salad. Freak heat wave, and nobody has AC since this never happens! This salad sounds yum though, hoping to make it another time soon.
I was going to skip this one due to everyone in the house liking and disliking certain components. But decided to customize every salad. I should have done it Mary Ann's way..everyone help themselves.
Good salad, dressing, meh. Having the rest for lunch today. P.S. I used bacon. You heard me. http://themamacooks.blogspot.com/2009/07/ceimb-cobb-salad.html
i liked it, but wasn't thrilled about the dressing. normally i like just about anything with Worcestershire in it, but this just didn't do it for me. not bad, though.

ReplyDeletePam @ lobster and fishsticks
I made this over the weekend and it was quite tasty, the dressing was good.
ReplyDeleteI'll be using Gorgonzola instead of Roquefort 'cause that's what I have in the fridge.

ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteI left out all 3 of those things, so mine was not quite a cobb salad, but a good salad nonetheless.
I loved it and made it twice already. Good stuff.
