Let's talk onion rings.
I have made these a bunch of times and posted my version when we first started blogging. Don't be afraid to experiment with adding flavors to the coating. I like to add dried thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder.
I think as long as you are not expecting to have battered and deep fried onion rings, you will enjoy these.

Hey,
ReplyDeleteJust wondering what kind of chips I need to buy and if the Baked Chips in The Netherlands is the same as in U.S.A. The only kind I can find here is Lays Baked (http://www.pepsico.nl/Merken/Smiths%20Lays/Lays/Lays%20Baked.aspx). Could you help me out and check if it's the one we need?
Thanks!!
Marthe
Marthe, I'm in the US and I bought those same Lay's Baked chips for mine.
ReplyDeleteHello All,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to share that I made Ellie's Honey Whole Wheat Soft Pretzels this weekend and they were a huge hit! This is a recipe I found online at FoodTV, but for some reason they never aired. Here's my post (the orignial recipe is also linked at the bottom of the pretzel photos)http://johnstonesvinblanc.blogspot.com/2009/07/honey-whole-wheat-pretzels-and.html
I am in need of a quick tutorial on how to reference things in my blog for readers with just a click. For example, some of you write, "You will find this recipe here".......and the reader clicks on "here" and they are taken to the Food network, Amazon, or someone elses's blog etc.
ReplyDeleteHelp!!!!!!!!
Hi Maria,
ReplyDeleteI assume your blog is on Blogger. If you're creating or editing a post, with your mouse highlight the word you want to link to the other web page and click the icon that sort of looks like a globe. Up pops a window that you'll paste the link into (I open the site/page I want to link to in another window, click on the url, copy it (you can usually right click your mouse and select copy) and paste it (right click and select paste) into the popup window).
If this isn't clear, email me at lethallydelicious AT gmail DOT com.
I made these a couple of weeks ago and my family loved them. I got the internet today (finally), so I will be able to post. Thanks for being patient with my lack of posting lately! Hope everyone enjoys.
ReplyDeleteI made these tonight and loved them!! I enjoyed the kick from the cayenne, and didn't feel gross after I ate them like I usually do when I order onion rings out. Will definitely make again!
ReplyDeleteI had to get creative...didn't have buttermilk on hand so used some plain Greek yogurt and milk, also didn't have (or want) baked chips in the house so used Panko. I guess it changes the recipe a bit, but it was good!
lethallydelicious.......you are the best.....i really appreciate your help......=)))))
ReplyDeleteMade my onion rings today......finally no greasy stomach feeling after eating onion rings.....this is a first for me ever!
i fully intended to make these yesterday, but there was a bit of an emergency situation last night that kept me from cooking. i love some of the suggestions for tweaks that you guys made - i will have to make this in the future.
ReplyDeleteI never got to make these :( My flight back home from my vacation got delayed and I ended up spending the night in Dallas, Texas.
